Meet Hess Un-Academy!

I first "met" Charlene while working on an Adventurous Mailbox project, and we hit it off! Later, we found ourselves members of the same blogger group....the ones that brings our subscribers Freebie Friday and Totally Free Tuesday (if you're not a subscriber, you're really missing out!). Today, we want you to meet her, too, as we virtually walk around the blogging neighborhood...
Charlene Hess headshotIn her own words....
"Hi guys! I’m Charlene! Wife, Mother of 7, and Daughter of God. I enjoy homeschooling my kids, but what I love even more is blessing the lives of those around me! That’s why Hess Un-Academy came to be. While I stumble through this journey we call life, I want to provide you with all the tips, tricks, and resources I can so that you can have an easier time than I did!
The focus of Hess Un-Academy is helping parents raise successful children who grow to be contributing members of society. We have a strong homeschooling focus but you don’t have to be a homeschooler to benefit from our posts – the skills taught here should benefit everybody."

extended family members enjoying a virtual family reunion
Charlene has some great tips and ideas for hosting a virtual family reunion.  This is such a timely need right now, as so many families are skipping holiday traditions and shindigs, but don't want to sacrifice that family togetherness!

Powerful kid learning 100 success principles you need to teach your kids
After scouring success books, she developed a list of the 100 principles kids need to know to find life success...along with some great ideas for teaching these!  They even have a HUGE project related to this getting ready to drop...

They even have a book for kids about the Secrets to Winning at Life, which you can access on their Amazon author page.  This text teaches real-world success principles that are normally only taught in adult-level books - like "How To Win Friends And Influence People," "The Go-Giver," and "21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" - but it is accessible for younger students.

"Our kids have really benefited from reading and studying these books.  And now, we've decided it's time to share them with the world!  We are diligently working to get the 50+ books we've already written illustrated and published, and we've got a list of another 50+ topics we want to write about.  Some of these topics include: teaching kids the levels of leadership, teaching kids how money works, learning how to overcome fears, learning how to deal with failure, learning how to overcome low self-esteem and low self-worth, teaching kids how to deal with people and have great interpersonal skills and relationships, and so on.  It's been a huge project but we're finally nearing the climax and we're very excited to share these wonderful resources with so many other children."
