Early Spring Babies

Our son, Xander, loves the farm life!  I'm sure you'll see him many times over the course of our journey here at Homeschool On the Range.  If you love his work, click on the Xander tag at the bottom of this post to find more!

I added another part to my chicken coop where a compost pile is going to be. I have two meat cows that are about a year old, and they are a mixed breed. I started a new garden with bell peppers and green beans.
Here is the wiring we use for the coop and garden, and the barn my dad and I are making.

Here are our cows.

Above is Prince, a Silkie chicken. Below are two signs I made and my weather station that I got from the CAP.

We are going to have baby goats and a baby cow!!

Meet Ozzy, Oreo, Gracie, and Blackie!!

Spring is a busy time on the farm!!  We put out the last of the hay out for the goats and cow until grass starts growing well again.

Below we are refurnishing an trailer to use for transporting  heavy loads.

Her we are working on a bridge to make it easier for out cattle to got from one pasture to the other.

We also built a smoker to use for brisket and it's also a brick oven.
Below is what it looked like before we finished it.

Here I made a chick coop for our baby chicks to stay in. We used welded wire, chicken wire, and the zip ties.
